Carolyn's adventurous travels in Sicily in her post-graduate years and in remote parts of Nepal in 1989 were life-changing experiences and gave new impetus to her work. All paintings in these countries were sold in exhibitions. Almost annually, Carolyn set forth to foreign parts to work, and some she returned to over and over again – in particular the Greek island of Andros. An exhibition at the Hellenic Centre, London, attracted many sales and much interest from its Greek members.
