In the early ‘80s Carolyn was living in Cirencester. She was lent a bolt-hole at Driftcombe, high up in the Slad Valley where she explored and painted whenever possible. Travels to Cumbria, Nepal, Cyprus and the Caribbean resulted in oils, watercolours and pastels which were exhibited at galleries in Cumbria, Bath, Stow on the Wold and the Cotswolds, where they sold well.
